Erin McDonough
executive director
Erin brings 17 years of public policy experience and 11 years of executive association management experience to the Insurance Alliance of Michigan. Before joining IAM in April 2020, she served as president and CEO of the Michigan Oil and Gas Association and executive director of the Michigan United Conservation Clubs. During her tenure at both she led the creation and implementation of member-driven strategic plans, building efficient, modern organizations able to effectively meet and overcome challenges.
Dyck Van Koevering
general counsel
As general counsel, Dyck is responsible for monitoring and analyzing the approximately 300 bills that are introduced every session in the Michigan Legislature which affect IAM's members. Dyck was previously general counsel for the Insurance Institute of Michigan. He also has several years experience lobbying in Washington, DC. Dyck is a graduate of Hope College and Thomas M. Cooley Law School.
